Recent News

As you must already know, Acchan has announced her graduation to the shock of fans, sponsors & staffers alike. Obviously I also got struck with denial after I heard the announcement, since then I've stopped writing as I try to recover from this blunt force trauma. And today she announced she'll be withdrawing from the 4th Sosenkyo (General Election) in a statement through the official Channel of AKB in Youtube and her G+ account. I sincerely I', sadden by her choice, but I'll firmly continue to support her. I'm a declared Yukirin fan, but I'm also a super Acchan fan, since because of her and beginner I came in contact with AKB...so as true Acchan fan I'll be closely looking to her development in the harsh entertainment world, though AKB won't be the same. It was somewhat expected with disbelief that Acchan was going to withdraw from the Sosenkyo, but she has stated so. I'll keep supporting AKB, but AKB is not going to be the same, and of course the 27th single won't have the usual excitement and feel. Here is the video前田敦子より総選挙について / AKB48[公式] - YouTube, I'll resume once I garnered courage and regain my sanity! So like Arnold Schwarzenegger once said: I'll BE BEACK!!! *cries*Accccccccchhhhhhhhhaaaan!! *sobs, sobs and cries more*

A stage of our own: The Decision at Okinawa Pt.1 The Arrival

Ok, before I give y'all this final peace, I said in the previous that I was going to do 2 more post, well this should be the last post, but I feel somewhat disappointed with this first attempt, that I've decide to finish this in 3 long post post, making it a grand tally of 4 chapters to conclusion. This one plus three! I have a motto: If you do something, be sure to make it at it's highest expression! If it's good make so good that it makes earth tremble but it's bad make to screw it up to best of your ability so everyone can remember the time you made the screw-up! Since this fanfic turned out to bring 90% of negative reviews, I'll make sure to add the 10% missing in this final chapter, just by making it a 4 part special! This is my writing at its worst! Next one coming, I promise a masterpiece at least that it may be seen and liked! Goal in the next one: 70% Positive review!

Enjoy this first part of a major screw-up!!!

Wednesday arrived, and all members were present at the Theater for the so much anticipated pairing draw. Kashiwagi, Maeda, Takahashi and Sashihara had arrived a bit earlier than the rest. To wait for the rest the four of them went to the café on the third floor of the building. They sat near a window as they waited, Takahashi asked Sashihara to accompany her buy some drinks, living Maeda and Kashiwagi to care for their places at the table. Sashihara quickly agreed with Takahashi and left the table as they headed to the stand and as they waited in the line they discussed a plan to pair during the trip. They agreed it had to be done in such secrecy that neither of them could think foul-play or tampering by a third party. They returned to the table as if they just went to buy the drinks as they said they would. The time for the draw arrived quickly and the gals left the café, and headed to the theater room for the much anticipated internal and secret event that was about to be done! When all expedition members were gathered in the room, Togasaki unveiled a board with tables and several names written on it. He explained that half of the group’s names where place there so only the partner was going to be decided the draw. Kashiwagi’s name was amongst the ones in the board, oblivious to her that Takahashi had asked for her name to be switched with Kashiwagi if she was placed and Kashiwagi wasn’t. After a brief explanation of how the draw was going to take place, the gals that weren’t drafter in the board, the group included Maeda, lined up and continued their procession to draw the name of their partner. When Maeda’s turn arrived she was very nervous hoping to avoid Kashiwagi as her roommate, for she consider herself a threat to Kashiwagi’s future but she also wanted to be her roommate, this contradictions speeded up every second as she pick the number from the box. When the moment of truth finally reached its pick as Maeda pull her number, Sashihara and Takahashi had their fingers crossed and were holding each other intensively when Maeda opened the folded piece of paper a read in a loud yet nervous voice “I drew number 5”, after staring at the board for a couple of seconds Takahashi couldn’t help but jump in excitement, the first part in their “Maeda-Kashiwagi hook-up plan” had taken effect with the minimum amount of effort. When that happened every one turned the attention to the obviously over-excited pair, when they noticed the eyes on them they sat, bowed and look shamefully at the floor. Then everyone turned back to listen to Togasaki’s words. The protocol as long over and the gals divided themselves in the selected pairs, and as usual a sleepover was planned between them. Kashiwagi feeling a bit unease by the thought of spending the night alone with Maeda, she also asked Sashihara, Watanabe, Oshima, Takahashi, Shinoda, Itano and Oota to come along.

Kashiwagi was pleased by the affirmative answer from all of them. Their alone time could wait until they reach Okinawa. Kashiwagi called her parents to tell them she was bringing several friends home, to which her mother asked her with a surprised yet happy tone “Several is how many?”, Kashiwagi paused for a moment to count how many people she had invited and replies back “7, is that ok?” her mother laughed and said “7 it is!” Soon after she hanged the phone Maeda approached Kashiwagi timidly and in low yet secretive tone she asked “Yukiriso is it ok, for me to also sleep in your home? I’m not really sure.” Kashiwagi grabbed Maeda’s hand and firmly stared at her eyes and with a typical Kashiwagi smile and careless fashion she replied “Sure! You’re my friend after all!” Was this a promotion of what was going to happen at the trip? Or was it just that Kashiwagi was trying to control her own nervousness?
The gals agreed to meet at Akihabara station in 3 hours after they left the theater. Kashiwagi then received an e-mail in her phone; she opened it and read the message that said:
“How was it? Did it go as you wanted? I’m rooting for you!”
It came from a withheld number, so who could it be? What was this person talking about? A bunch of unanswered questions came from this. She decided to go to a nearby dinner to wait for agreed meeting time at the train station. As she slowly walked she noticed two familiar faces, two old team-mates from her early years in AKB. Urano Kazumi and Saeki Mika were walking by when they noticed Kashiwagi outside the theater. The three ladies greeted and hug each other as if no time had passed since Urano was transferred and Saeki graduated. Urano surprised to see Kashiwagi alone at the theater asked “Yukirin, why are here…alone I mean?” the gals couldn’t hide their excitement about coinciding at that moment. Kashiwagi then replied to Urano “We had a draw to see who gets partner with whom during the trip we’re having this weekend to Okinawa!” That was something new; certainly it was for Urano and Saeki. Then Saeki followed up Urano’s question “So why are you alone in here Yukirin…where are the other members?” Kashiwagi asked Urano and Saeki to accompany her to a more comfortable place to talk. They went to a small café in front of Akihabara JR Station, were Kashiwagi was supposed to meet with the others to head to her place for the sleep over.
They ordered some drinks and took comfortable seat in the lounge style café. Then finally Saeki and Urano’s curiosity was to be satisfied, as Kashiwagi answered their question “I was alone, because I invited Acchan, Yuko, Sasshi, Takamina, Mariko, Mayuyu and Tomochin to sleep over today, since we leave for Okinawa in 2 days, so I was waiting for them to return so we could head home!” Urano and Saeki sighted as a sign of relief. The waiter promptly arrived with the gals drinks, a prelude to the awkward moment, Kashiwagi somehow knew the temptation that faced Saeki. Unsure if Urano was aware of that topic she tried to avoid; was that an inevitable conversation?

Kashiwagi, often looked at her wrist watch with anticipation to her friend’s arrival. The Saeki finally ended the stale mate and dropped the bomb on Kashiwagi “So Yukirin, did you…well…you know?” she was trying to phrase her question in a manner that wouldn’t make Kashiwagi feel uncomfortable or make herself look like a meddler in other people’s affairs. Urano felt as she was out of place in this conversation, so she decided to leave them to clear whatever they had to. As she rose Kashiwagi grabbed her hand and asked her to stay with a low yet decide tone, Kashiwagi knew she couldn’t hide her relationship with Maeda forever, so she take to take a step and talk about it with the people she was close and comfortable with. Kashiwagi placed her eyes in a direct stare at Saeki, and nodded in a negative form. Saeki sighted and continued her frank advice “Are you still unsure?” Urano attempted another escape but again Kashiwagi stopped her and said “I think I should introduce the elephant in the room, don’t you agree Mikachii?” Saeki was stunned by Kashiwagi’s valor, yet she was rather happy, Kashiwagi had given the first step into acknowledging her feelings towards Maeda. Urano was still oblivious to the impending danger to her psyche.

Kashiwagi’s eyes opened wide seemed bigger than usual, a know sign to Saeki and Urano that something big was going to happen. Urano nervously sat down, breathing heavily she braced herself for whatever crazy words could come from the unpredictable Kashiwagi’s sharp tongue. Trying to take control of the situation as for it not to get out of hand Saeki took bold action and finally asked properly what she wanted to know “So, did you reply to Maeda, Yukirin?” Kashiwagi checked again her watch, and looked back at Saeki, before she could answer Urano stood up again and asked “What’s going on in here, care to fill me in or should I just leave!?” Kashiwagi’s seriousness test had begun.
Kashiwagi: …
Saeki: You should tell her Yukirin…
Urano: If you two want to talk alone, just say so I won’t get mad!
Kashiwagi: Well CinDy…you see...about four days ago Acchan…
Urano: Yes, Acchan what…?
Saeki: This is going to take long…you still unsure Yukirin…
Kashiwagi: No!! I’m sure about what I want to do with my feelings…
Urano: I’m at a loss here…
Kashiwagi: Acchan confessed to me….
Urano: Acchan, confessed what?
Saeki: That she wants Yukirin to be her lover…there the elephant is out!
Kashiwagi: …
Urano: Acchan, what!?
Kashiwagi: Yes, she said she likes me, but more that she would like a friend.
Saeki: See CinDy, so now Yukirin has to respond to Maeda.
Urano: So what do you want to say to Acchan? Whatever you say is going to define how you feel and act around her from now on. Yukirin, whatever you decide, you must be honest first with yourself and then with Acchan. Honestly I was surprised that Acchan confessed to you…Mikachii, is it karma that you are trying to advice Yukirin now, if I’m correct you too had to go through the same with her?…
Saeki stood silent and smiled, she held Kashiwagi’s hands strongly and she felt as tears would pour out of her eyes. Saeki stood up and said her final words about this to Kashiwagi “Yukirin, you know what you feel and what you want, then just say it with confidence! Remember you can still count on us…I mean are friends!’ this words hit home as Kashiwagi remembers using that same phrase with Maeda when she asked if it was alright for her to go to the sleep over at Kashiwagi’s home. After a heartfelt conversation, Saeki and Urano left just as the sleep-over group arrived. Kashiwagi quickly scanned for signs of Maeda. Not sign of her made present for Kashiwagi, she then quickly ran to greet the group. They immediately proceeded to the waiting area to wait for the subway. The train quickly arrived, the doors opened and everybody got in, when Kashiwagi suddenly heard a voice inside the wagon. A voice she was longing to her, as she turned her sight towards the voice and to her surprise, it was indeed Maeda who spoke!
Filled with excitement, Kashiwagi tried to control herself from running to Maeda and hug her as hard as she could. But the smile was impossible to hide, a reaction that Maeda received very gladly by returning the smile. The ride lasted a few minutes, when they arrived at the station, Kashiwagi’s mother was waiting for them, as she greeted them and smiled she walked towards Kashiwagi and whispered something to her, she then turned to the group with a brighter smile. Kashiwagi’s parents had to attend her father’s company dinner, so they would be out until late. Kashiwagi told the news to her mates, which just nodded and continued their walk home. Kashiwagi’s heart was pounding as if it was about to explode, as she walk at Maeda’s side, a sensation of ethereal pleasure and happiness accompanied both during the short trail until the Kashiwagi’s residence.

Just before leaving, Kashiwagi’s mother left the gals in her daughter’s room with some tea and chocolate chip cookies talking. When her parents left, the real party and conversations began! Suddenly in front of Maeda’s eyes, Oshima grabbed Kashiwagi’s hand as if she was in love with her, she then said in a joking tone “Finally, Yukirin!!! Today you’re all mine!” Kashiwagi’s eyes opened wide as a sign of shock to Oshima’s sudden comment. Maeda felt as she was about to explode, was this a sudden provocation by Oshima? Or was it a heartfelt comment? These questions bothered Maeda mostly. Kashiwagi on the other hand took the comment as a joke. Suddenly a phone rings, but it’s neither the house phone nor any of the gal’s mobile phones. A tense and creepy atmosphere surrounded the house, the mysterious phone still ranged. Then Kashiwagi proposed a “Test of valor” her guest, normally Kashiwagi’s house wouldn’t be considered a place for the haunted to prey upon, there was undoubtedly a phone ringing in the house. The gals quickly divided themselves in the following teams:
TEAM KASHIWAGI: Oshima, Kashiwagi and Shinoda
TEAM SASHIHARA: Watanabe, Sashihara, Itano
TEAM TAKAHASHI: Maeda, Takahashi, Oota [Love-tan]
These teams were to search the house for the “phantom phone” as Oshima had called it. This was also Maeda’s first trial, for she felt uneasy about Kashiwagi’s team especially after Oshima’s blunt-joke to the rest-statement, relating to her intensions with Kashiwagi. Kashiwagi’s team headed towards her parent’s room and office room, whilst the other teams checked the kitchen, living room, bathrooms and the halls. The house never felt bigger for Kashiwagi, first her team checked the office room and found nothing, then her parent’s room again with no result, as agreed after 20 minutes they’ll all meet at Kashiwagi’s dormitory to relay their findings about this mysterious phone. As Kashiwagi’s team was about to return to the room, Kashiwagi saw her father’s dress coat emitting a light from its pocket, she quickly yelled to her team mates: “Yuko, Mariko…” they quickly rushed to Kashiwagi’s position and saw her standing with a huge smile “It was all my father’s mobile, which he forgot so he was calling to see if he left it home!” the three sighted at the same time as a sign of relieve, then ran to meet the others. When they arrived to room, they got together sat and Kashiwagi explained what her team’s findings were.

All that time Oshima, was hugging and laying her head on Kashiwagi’s shoulder, things that bother Maeda…”Is Yuko really that much into Yukiriso?” she thought, she looked around and noticed that the others weren’t bothered at all by Oshima’s constant skin-ship with Kashiwagi. But Maeda’s heart couldn’t bear it anymore; she stood up and asked Kashiwagi for a moment. She took her the room and asked “Yukiriso…are really ok, with how close Yuko is towards you?” Kashiwagi smile and sighted “Finally, I was starting a bit antsy! I thought you didn’t care Acchan…The truth is that Yuko is always this way with me, but with you here I felt a bit uncomfortable” Maeda’s heart raced harder and faster than before…Could it be Kashiwagi shared Maeda’s feelings? An encouraging sign indeed, now Maeda can spend this night with more ease. At some point the gals decided to cook something to dinner and discuss their perspective on the Okinawa concert and photobook shootings.
Kashiwagi: I’m so excited about this trip!
Shinoda: Yeah, I’ve never been to Okinawa before…
Itano: Me neither, but I think Yukirin is excited because she’s shooting her photobook there also…who else is shooting for photobooks also?
Takahashi: I know that only Yukirin and Acchan are doing photobook sessions…
Oshima: Well…Actually I’m also shooting a photobook, before we met at the station Togasaki-san called and said that I’m also going to shoot my photobook and I’ll also make a joint PB with Yukirin!
Maeda: Re…rea…really? You’re also shooting a PB with Yukiriso?
Shinoda: You knew right Yukirin? I mean…Yuko! You just made this up!
Itano: We’ll have to ask Togasaki-san to confirm that!
Maeda had found another block other than her own indecisiveness, this time it was made of flesh. Takahashi approached Maeda, and held her hand, and whispered in her ear “Acchan, you have to be positive and fight. Don’t you love Yukirin? I won’t forgive you if you’re weak at heart!” Those words hit Maeda as a bombshell, her closest friend and confidant was seeing her behaving miserably and full of self-pity. The night passed by with lots of fun for the gals. But was it a prelude to the coming trip? That question was stuck at Maeda’s head.

During the night Maeda woke up several times as she was still bothered by the feeling that she found a rival. She thought that if she had to battle it out with Oshima, she was at a disadvantage. At least Oshima didn’t care about that both of them were female. Okinawa was for sure in the eyes of Maeda, Takahashi and Sashihara the make-or-break situation for the relationship between Maeda and Kashiwagi. On the other side, Kashiwagi was resting peacefully, for though she was very lovey-dovey with Oshima, she completely sure that her feelings were for Maeda. They all woke up early ate a special breakfast made by Kashiwagi’s mother. They headed to the theater to join with the other members of this “Okinawa Expedition 48” as it was labeled by Producer Akimoto. As they left Watanabe took the chance and held Kashiwagi’s hand as they walked, Maeda felt the pressure again and quickly turned to see Oshima’s reaction and position. She noticed Oshima was right behind Kashiwagi, what was her intension? Knowing how Oshima liked to performed perverted and naughty jokes, Maeda thought that her aim was to grab Kashiwagi’s butt.
Unwilling to let that happen and to proof her own resolution not to let her progress with Kashiwagi be hindered and loss her to Oshima, she rushed her step until she reach Kashiwagi’s side and started talking with her, while she constantly checked Oshima’s whereabouts in relationship to Kashiwagi, something Oshima and Sashihara who has next to Oshima, notice very quickly. Unknowingly Kashiwagi was trapped in a battle for her affection by 2 monsters unwilling to give up. When they got in the train just as Kashiwagi sat down and Watanabe was ready to seat next to her the open war between Oshima and Maeda was ragging on, they quickly took the spots next to Kashiwagi. This left Watanabe wondering what had happened. Takahashi approached Sashihara as she worried that their plan to join Kashiwagi and Maeda in Okinawa was in danger, the 5 minute train ride felt like an eternity to them. They gathered soon with the other gals and headed to the airport together. Just as they disembarked from the bus, Togasaki gave them their tickets before they entered the airport. He explained that the sitting arrangement in the airplane was done in the same way the room pairings were done for the hotel. That meant that Kashiwagi and Maeda would sit together, a huge relief for the later. But it also meant Oshima was going to be close, her seat was just in front of Kashiwagi’s.

It was going to be a long flight, Maeda couldn’t stay quiet the entire flight, in her eyes that would give Oshima an open door to snatch Kashiwagi away from her. Deep in her thoughts Maeda suddenly felt something in her shoulders. When she turned to check what was it she noticed Kashiwagi had fallen asleep and her head leaned on her shoulder, Maeda’s suddenly turned so read. When Takahashi saw Maeda’s expression of embarrassment she giggled. Kashiwagi’s face was so close to Maeda’s, that the temptation to steal a kiss from the sleeping beauty was so strong, Maeda had trouble controlling herself. She plugged her mp3 player to divert her attention from Kashiwagi’s lips. Suddenly the pilot announces a bit of turbulence, as the announcement is made Kashiwagi woke and when she noticed that she was laying in Maeda’s shoulder she immediately raised her body to a straight position and with a shameful expression she apologized to Maeda.
Three more hours remained on their flight. Kashiwagi decided she couldn’t stay quiet, for this wouldn’t her confidence when being around Maeda.
Kashiwagi: Acchan…how has it been since we took off?
Maeda: …We…still have three hours left…I think
Kashiwagi: Oh, I see…did I sleep too much?
Maeda: ….It’s ok.
Kashiwagi: Really!? What a relief…I thought I had made Acchan feel uncomfortable…
Maeda: Don’t worry…I mean nothing happened…
Kashiwagi was a bit confused by Maeda’s answer and prudently let it slide.
Maeda: So…Yukiriso, are you really shooting that PB with Yuko?
Kashiwagi: Hmmm…I wonder I should tell you….
Maeda: You’re mean Yukiriso!
Kashiwagi: Ok, I’ll tell you! I don’t want Acchan to hate me!
Maeda: I…I…could never hate Yukiriso!
Kashiwagi: Well, Togasaki-san, actually told me, that I was going to shoot a solo PB and with Yuko…
Maeda: …
Kashiwagi: He also said that I was going to shoot one with Acchan, and if time is available, the three of us would shoot one together! I would totally love that to happen wouldn’t you Acchan?
Maeda: Well, I guess so…
Sashihara overheard the conversation, and immediately asked Kojima who was seating next to Takahashi to switch seats with her. She shared the newly acquisitioned information and started formulating a new plan taking the PB shooting’s as a perfect setting for their “coupling” plan to work. The pilot soon informed through the intercom, they were about to land in Okinawa, so the seat belt sign was turned and all electronic equipment was asked to be turned off, during this last moments of the flight, Maeda thought about how peaceful it had been…no Oshima interventions between herself and Kashiwagi, but that after they disembark from the aircraft was when the war would really break loose between her and Oshima. Maeda was still unsure about Oshima’s sentiments towards Kashiwagi, but she couldn’t let her guard down, just the possibility that Oshima stole Kashiwagi from her, without knowing her answer terrified Maeda. The only way Maeda would give up Kashiwagi was if she was rejected-still them she wouldn’t desist and attempt again or so she thought-but she was never going to give Kashiwagi to Oshima without a fight.

To Maeda the landing was the beginning of heaven or the entrance of the purgatory in her way to delusion, either way, she knew that she had done her part, Kashiwagi was now aware of Maeda’s desires and passion for her. Unknown to her was the fact that their “guardian angels” Takahashi and Sashihara were going to make sure that their “strange-love” was fulfilled.
As they disembarked Maeda tighten her hold on Kashiwagi to avoid losing her to Oshima’s claws. She checked everywhere for sign of her “rival”, but Oshima was nowhere to be seen. Kashiwagi unaware of the competition revolving around her, also tightened her hold on Maeda. Both gals quickly set foot outside the aircraft and headed to the luggage pick-up location. Kashiwagi hastened her step as she held Maeda’s hand, and then stared at her and said “Acchan! Let’s walk together!” with her usual yet provocative smile, that made Maeda blush. She felt an incontrollable torrent of happiness rushing through her body.

Then both gals matched down their pace, as they continue their short walk in a merry atmosphere. At arrival Maeda quickly and spot-on noticed the presence of Oshima who was accompanied by Miyasawa Sae and Fujie Reina, which she thought limited Oshima’s possible actions towards Kashiwagi, which to some extent provided Maeda a small space o breath. Sudden she heard a call from a familiar voice “Acchan, Yukirin! Your luggage is here!” both gals turned towards the voice to find out it was Sashihara calling, she had placed her plan into action, her accomplice Takahashi was also making her move. Maeda and Kashiwagi quickly approached Sashihara’s position to retrieve their luggage. Just the fact that Sashihara was near gave Maeda another bit of relief as she tried to conquer her inner demons completely, waking up to the reality that she’s in love with another lass and telling her what she felt towards her was just the beginning of her internal struggles, but know she had “found” herself in a “competition” for Kashiwagi’s affection. Soon after they got in the bus that was chartered to drive them to their hotel, were various staff members where waiting for the gals to arrive.

A stage of our own: Closure, 2nd movement

When Watanabe was out of sight, Sashihara and Maeda approached Kashiwagi. The three of them continued their way to the dressing room, when they arrived, the atmosphere was different from the morning; it changed back into the usual after a hard day’s practice. The day had ended for the group, but it wasn’t over for Maeda and Kashiwagi, since they still had an unfinished conversation. When Kashiwagi and Maeda were about to leave they were approached by Sashihara and Takahashi respectively. Sashihara asked Kashiwagi to accompany her do some errands, while Takahashi invited Maeda to a café to talk.
Sashihara and Kashiwagi left first and headed to a nearby groceries store. Takahashi and Maeda left a couple of minutes later and went to a café near Shinjuku station. After they finished Sashihara’s errands, both gals went for some drinks to a pastry store just across the street from the market. They sat near the window, it was 1800 and the sky was getting dark, so the city lights started to function.
They both ordered a cherry tea and some sweets, as they waited Sashihara skillfully noticed Kashiwagi’s uneasiness after the day’s practice. As one of the most trusted companions Kashiwagi had, Sashihara entered no man’s land and pop the dangerous question.
Sashihara: Are you ok, Yukirin? You’ve been acting odd today….
Kashiwagi: ….well there is something that is bothering me…
Sashihara: is it something you can’t tell Mayuyu?
Kashiwagi: …maybe…it’s a bit complicated to explain and I know she wouldn’t understand…
Sashihara: well I may be able to help, sometimes, just being listened helps too…
Kashiwagi: …thanks…
Sashihara: well I’m all ears!
Kashiwagi: ….actually…yesterday…I received a confession…
Sashihara: what!!? Someone confessed to you?
Kashiwagi: ….yes…
Little by little, Kashiwagi’s courage and clear mind started to return. But why was it so hard to talk about her feelings with Maeda? That suffocating sensations had departed, was Maeda too much for her to handle? Such thoughts were casting a mist of indecision and fear in the deepest corner of Kashiwagi’s heart. Sashihara’s interest I the situation became even harder to contain, but at the same time Kashiwagi wanted some to listen to her, someone who wouldn’t judge her, someone who would just lend her a shoulder to lie on for a moment. Kashiwagi always felt comfortable alongside Sashihara, whom she saw as a reliable person to talk to.

Sashihara was consumed by her curiosity, but decided not to go deeper into the issue, as she understood, that because of that confession, Kashiwagi wasn’t her usual self. She exerted extreme self-control, even though her curiosity was itching her for an answer.
Sashihara: It probably was just a crazy fan Yukirin…you should tell the management…well that’s what I would do…
Kashiwagi: ….it wasn’t a fan….it was….
Sashihara: …
Intrigued by Kashiwagi’s response, Sashihara couldn’t hold herself back; she had to know about whom was Kashiwagi talking. She took a deep breath and timidly continued the conversation trying not to meddle more than what Kashiwagi wanted to tell her.
Sashihara: Is that person related to AKB?
Kashiwagi: ….
Sashihara: I thought so…who is it?
Kashiwagi: …..A….Acchan!
Sashihara’s surprise was such that she felt like a boulder had been dropped in front of her. She never imagined that Maeda had such feelings towards a gal, especially towards Kashiwagi. After knowing the cause, she understood better the dilemma that Kashiwagi was facing. It was not answering back her feelings, but saying those words, could jeopardize both their carriers as idols. A mutual strong desire was perceived by Sashihara, for when Kashiwagi mentioned Maeda she did it with a huge smile, but also Kashiwagi was worried about Maeda’s future more than her own.
Sashihara: So you tried to reply to her today?
Kashiwagi: ….yes…I did…but I couldn’t say those words to her…Sasshi, I really wanted to say to her I also love her!
Sashihara jumped from her seat after Kashiwagi’s words, yes she already knew something like that was the situation. Everyone had noticed that after the filming of Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, both ladies grew close but nobody imagined they would so close as to develop feelings of yearning and deep emotional affection-i.e. love-for each other. What Sashihara didn’t expect was that it was Maeda the one that made a move on Kashiwagi.

Sashihara’s jump sacred Kashiwagi a bit, when she noticed that she sat quickly and took a zip of her tea to lower her heart beat. The city lights now engulf the surroundings, and it was getting late. Sashihara had received an e-mail from her mother asking where she was and about the grocery. But again she wanted to help Kashiwagi, so the told Kashiwagi she had to return home and invited her to sleep over. To which Kashiwagi replied in with an affirmative response. She called her mother as so did Sashihara to inform about the sleep over plan.
On the other side of the aisle Takahashi was talking things over with Maeda. Takahashi somewhat understood the position at which Kashiwagi was when trying to give her answer to Maeda; between them, it was Kashiwagi’s position the hardest, for not only was the one that had to respond but was also a captain. Maeda was staring at the table as she somewhat regretted confessing to Kashiwagi.
Maeda: I’m a terrible person, right, Minami-chan?
Takahashi: Of course not! Why would you think such a thing?!
Maeda: Because, I’m not normal, I mean I’m in love with a gal and I’ve put her on a tight spot, because of my selfishness…
Takahashi: Come on Acchan; don’t get down on me right now! You’re just fine the way you are. You are normal! Don’t be ashamed about what you feel for others. Yukirin just needs a little more time…
Maeda: ….but…because of me she is in a predicament…
Takahashi: Look Acchan, you did the right thing by telling her how you feel, it’s now up to her to sort things out. She wants to sincerely answer to you, but still unsure. Today she tried but she couldn’t, perhaps because I was there…I still don’t get why called me there Acchan…
Maeda: ….actually I was afraid of Yukirin’s answer, and I wanted you to control me…just in case I couldn’t stop crying…
Takahashi: So you think she’ll reject you?
Maeda: ….
Maeda was feeling very troubled, because she felt she put her dear friend in an awkward position. Takahashi feeling worried for her friends, she felt as she needed to do something to get rid of the tension between them but didn’t wanted to rush Kashiwagi or Maeda.
Takahashi: Just give her some time.

They drank some tea and sweet bread, as they talked about other issues to relieve themselves from the stressful day. Then they parted ways and headed home. Whilst at Sashihara Rino’s house, after a pleasant dinner and a warm bath the strategy meeting began. Sashihara’s mother brought some hot chocolate and pastry for the gals so they could enjoy a bit more their conversation. It had been raining and cold lately so the warmth of the chocolate was welcomed by both of them.
Sashihara: So, Yukirin…what are you planning to do?
Kashiwagi: Well…I really don’t know, but I’m pretty sure about how I feel….I think…
Sashihara: But, you told me at the café that you, feel the same towards Acchan, didn’t you?
Kashiwagi: …yes…it’s just that I don’t know how to tell her…but I also don’t want to cause her any problems or to anyone on the group, because of my selfish acts…
Sashihara: You aren’t causing problems Yukirin! I mean you are not breaking any rules… I mean they said we couldn’t date outsiders and they specified males, they never said that we couldn’t go out with each other or even develop a relationship as deep as yours and Acchan…So I believe you should answer with your true feelings.
Kashiwagi: …I guess so….
Sashihara: So spirits up…..Oh!! I have an idea; do you remember about the concert that we have next week in Okinawa??
Kashiwagi couldn’t comprehend why Sashihara was so excited about. True that Okinawa meant warmer weather and beautiful beaches, but still she didn’t get what it means in relationship with her “issue” with Maeda.

Sashihara stood up and went for a catalogue about Okinawa she got from Katayama Haruka. She flipped through the pages until she got to the hotel sections. Kashiwagi just couldn’t keep up with Sashihara’s excitement; she though “why is she so excited? What does the trip and a hotel in Okinawa has to do with me and Acchan?” A few seconds later Kashiwagi’s questions were answered. Sashihara had found what she was looking for…the mostly likely hotel that AKB would stay during their 15 days in Okinawa. She showed Kashiwagi the hotel, she thought AKB was the most likely to stay and presented her plan to still oblivious Kashiwagi.
Sashihara: I found it, Yukirin!
Kashiwagi: What; found what?!
Sashihara: This is the hotel we will probably be staying during our visit to Okinawa!
Kashiwagi: ….
Sashihara: In this hotel as always we will be paired into couples per room!
Kashiwagi: ...so…
Sashihara: We just have to make sure you and Acchan get paired as room-mates!
Kashiwagi: What!? Are you crazy, you want to give me a heart attack!?

Sashihara laughed uncontrollably at Kashiwagi’s reaction. Kashiwagi’s face was so red that it could be seen from the moon Yes Sashihara’s incredible plan was to get Kashiwagi and Maeda together, so that they could talk more comfortably and clear their situation. When Sashihara was able to control her laughter, she took a deep breath and continued her briefing.
Sashihara: …sorry about that…it’s just that you looked so cute with your red face
Kashiwagi: ….Sasshi, you are…evil!
Sashihara: You see, the only way for to be able to tell Acchan how you feel is by being with her, you said Takamina was also there, right!?
Kashiwagi: …yes she was with Acchan, and she also knew about what happened between Acchan and me.
Sashihara: Really!? Do you know how she found out?
Kashiwagi: …well, Acchan told her…I understand that…I mean Takamina-san is Acchan’s best friend, so it’s comprehensible that she talked to her about that…I think…
Those words gave Sashihara another great idea how to make her plan work! She thought that probably Takahashi also wanted to help solve this knot in their relationship.

Nobody in AKB could’ve imaged that Maeda and Kashiwagi would’ve ended in such a complicated relationship. Both Sashihara and Takahashi were also in a tight spot, as they became impromptu counselors for Maeda and Kashiwagi. “The next concert in Okinawa was going to determine if this was a forbidden love on Maeda’s side or Kashiwagi’s destined soul-mate!” Sashihara thought, she then continued with the conversation.
Sashihara: Well…leave everything to me!
Kashiwagi: You’re worrying me Sasshi…but thank you for helping me!
Kashiwagi smiled and the conversation then shifted into a different type of gal talk. Sunday came and went slowly for the gals, as the date of departure for Okinawa arrived. Early Monday morning, Kashiwagi arrived to the theater to meet the staff and discuss the voyage’s details. Also present at that meeting were Takahashi Minami and Akimoto Sayaka, theater Staff Manager Togasaki and General Producer Akimoto. During this meeting Kashiwagi tried to concentrate as much as possible, but her mind was thinking mostly about Maeda. It was decided during this meeting, that the pairing for the hotel was going to be done trough a draw. This draw was to be held at the theater 2 days before departure. As soon as the meeting was over, Kashiwagi received an e-mail on her mobile phone. She then quickly navigated through the message in search for the number that was used to send it. All of a sudden Kahsiwagi jumped of excitement, which startled Takahashi and Akimoto as they left the theater. Takahashi approached Kashiwagi and asked: “Yukirin are you alright?” Kashiwagi slowly turned her eyes on Takahashi and answered in a low and embarrassed tone: “Yes, I’m ok, sorry scare you1’ she bowed in apology to all present, then she returned to reading her e-mail. Takahashi’s curiosity had awakened so she decided to walk for a while with Kashiwagi. “Who could’ve been that e-mailed Yukirin, to make her this happy? Maybe Acchan!?” she thought. She asked Kashiwagi to accompany to this new traditional tea house near Ginza that she wanted to visit. Kashiwagi with a polite smile and happy disposition she agreed.

They arrived at a traditional style house and were received by a young lady wearing a red kimono with sakura patterns, a blue obi. Her hair was arranged in the traditional style, she was also wearing traditional make-up. She greeted them in a polite and gracious manner, then escorted them inside, after the main gate they walked through a garden, the path they walked through was surrounded by sakura and plum trees. A small bridge linked the tea house with the entry pathway. The tea house was made of cedar wood. The doors were made also cedar with Japanese traditional paper. The hostess suddenly stopped and opened a door that leads to a small room with a beautiful view of the garden; she then bowed to the astonished gals. Kashiwagi and Takahashi quickly entered the room, amazed of the beautiful scenery, the hostess bowed again; as she left the girls she smiled and closed the door. On the table at the center of the room there was a bell and a menu letter with instructions of how to use the tea house’s rooms. They explored actively the room in search of what surprises they might find. Kashiwagi found a stash of tea and Takahashi a pot to boil water; they smiled at each other and started to prepare their tea. The attending hostess returned to the room to deliver some dango for the gals, she then left them again. As they prepared the tea Takahashi asked Kashiwagi: “You look really lively this afternoon, something good happened?” Kashiwagi responded with an affirmative nod. To which Takahashi followed up with another question, “Is it related to Acchan?” an uncontrollable silence engulfed the room.

Kashiwagi raised her sight and stared at Takahashi’s eyes as firmly as she could and smiled and proceeded to reply.
Kashiwagi: Yes, she sent me a mail, asking if I was ok! That made me very happy!
Takahashi: I thought so…So what are you going to do about your relationship her?
Kashiwagi startled a bit after that question. She knew what she had to do but after all she was still unsure about what she wanted.
She couldn’t keep herself unsure anymore after Takahashi’s words; she had to take that step she was afraid of. She either played it safe and rejected Maeda or risked it all and embrace that mutual desire for each other’s company and affection.
Takahashi: You can’t stay like this forever Yukirin…Acchan made her choice and went forward, even those she’s scared of the consequences, she feels that strongly about you.
Kashiwagi: …I…know but…
Takahashi: But what? No buts!? You have to make up your mind!
For Takahashi, Maeda’s happiness was everything even if it meant to relinquish her dearest friend. Takahashi was also unsure about her feelings towards Kashiwagi’s entrance into Maeda’s life, was it jealousy? Was it anger? Was it solitude? She was also trying to sort out her own feelings.
Kashiwagi: …You’re right, I must stick to my decision without regret and stand tall in front of its consequences…

The water started to boil…Kashiwagi picked a bit of mint and cherry herbs to add to the water, this was taught to her by Saeki, whom had also told her to stand with her feelings. As she poured the herbs in the water she thought to herself “What is it I’m afraid of?” Takahashi place her had on top of Kashiwagi as she had finished and smiled. She then asked with a clam yet serious tone “So, Yukirin, what’s your answer to Acchan’s confession?” Kashiwagi reverted herself back into her yips, but the water vapor and smell of the herbal infusion brought her back. The sweet smell made her confidence return, and with a voice full of confidence, and honesty she said “Takamina-san, I also love Acchan with my most sincere feelings! I understand if you refuse, but as Acchan’s best friend and as my sempai, please bless us!” she then firmly bowed in a humble request for approval of the person that Maeda respected and cherished the most. Takahashi’s face was blushed and her hands were shaking; she never expected Kashiwagi to do such a thing. She grabbed a dango and placed her cup to serve herself some of Kashiwagi’s special herbal infusion. Kashiwagi quickly took the pot and served Takahashi.
Kashiwagi had entered her comfort zone; she was raised to become a Yamato Nadeshiko, the virtues of beauty, femininity are portrait in Kashiwagi at its best, the traditional concepts combined with the sense of the modern woman gave Kashiwagi an attractive and distinguished taste, this was what attracted Maeda to her, until this moment Takahashi had finally understood, Kashiwagi’s true charm. She raised her sight to meet with Kashiwagi’s eyes, and with a smile and tears she blessed Kashiwagi and Maeda’s relationship.

Takahashi: Yukirin…I entrust Acchan to you…but if you ever make her cry I’ll never forgive you!
Kashiwagi: Thank you Takamina-san…
Takahashi: Now you must tell Acchan!
Kashiwagi: …Well…Sasshi said that the Okinawa trip was my best chance to answer back to Acchan…
Takahashi, found in this words her most powerful ally in her quest to get Maeda and Kashiwagi together. This ally was none other than Sashihara!

A stage of our own: Closure, 1rst movement

The atmosphere in the locker room, that day was different, than normal. With a hurt and depressed Watanabe, a usual Kashiwagi and a joyous Maeda, it felt a like an emotion’s parade. Kashiwagi then whispered in Maeda’s ear, to which she replied with a smile and a nod. Everyone except Takahashi was unaware of why this morning had started in such a violent manner. When Takahashi saw Maeda’s reaction to Kashiwagi’s whisper, she felt a huge relief that at least things looked promising for her dear friend.

All the gals finished changing, and headed, the tension was still high after what happened in the locker room. But this didn’t show during practice, when the break arrived the gals assembled for their lunch as usual except that Kashiwagi and Takahashi had gone into a separate area at Maeda’s request, when Watanabe heard that, her curiosity rose and decide to follow them, but before she could do so, she was distracted by Yonechan, those seconds were enough to lose sight of them. Kashiwagi, Maeda and Takahashi sat down in a separate spot form the rest on the other side of the stage, hidden from the rest of the group by the prolonged catwalk that divided the stadium by half. Seeing that neither Kashiwagi nor Maeda would start the conversation, Takahashi decided to open it.
Takahashi: So, Acchan, why did you call me here?
Maeda: ….
Kashiwagi: Is there something wrong, Acchan? If you need to talk to Takamani, I’ll excuse myself, we can talk later.
Maeda: ….Actually I need to speak with both….
Takahashi: I think I’m an extra in this conversation, I’ll excuse myself…
Maeda: Minami-chan….Please stay….Yukiriso, the truth is that I tolled Minami-chan, about what I told you, yesterday…
Kashiwagi: eh…..!?

Kashiwagi was bit surprised but at the same time she felt a bit of relive knowing that Takahashi was aware. It was a well known fact that Maeda and Takahashi were really so close, so it felt kind of natural to Kashiwagi that Maeda commented this with Takahashi.
Maeda: Sorry, Yukiriso….but I know Minami-chan can be trusted to keep this a secret…
Kashiwagi: No, worries, actually I’m relieved that you told Takamina-san, she has the right to know!
Maeda: Yukiriso….
Takahashi; So, I’m going to bear witness to Yukirin’s answer? Or I’m here to stop a fight?
Maeda: ….well…
Kashiwagi: I’m going to give you my answer, Acchan….Takamina-san, I know this might sound hard to you, but I want to know your opinion as Acchan’s best friend after I’ve told her my answer to her feelings…
Takahashi: Wow, Yukirin you amaze me, in less than one day you got your mind and heart cleared!
Kashiwagi: I counted on really good advice from that person….
Takahashi: From whom?
Maeda: I’ve been wondering who was this other person you told me about Yukiriso, is she the same person?
Kashiwagi: …Yes…
Takahashi: ok, let’s cut with the mystery, then who’s your reliable advisor Yukirin?
Kashiwagi: Mikachii!
Maeda and Takashi where surprised to found that the special person for Kashiwagi was Saeki Mika, but it made sense for them. As told before the two gals were really close. Maeda’s anxiety was starting to grow, when Kashiwagi finally said her answer to Maeda’s feelings.
Kashiwagi: Acchan…it’s not an easy answer, because I know this can only bring complications, but my heart and mind are at peace…
Takahashi: ….
Maeda: ….
Kashiwagi: …my feelings for you are clear. I couldn’t stop thinking about your sincere words, and wanted to answer with the same sentiment. The truth is that I, Yukirin…
The tension started to rise, as the break winded down. Every second that passed was an eternity of its own for Maeda and Kashiwagi. She had the words in the tip of her tongue but they proven to be a bit difficult for Kashiwagi to say. To ease the difficultness from Kashiwagi, Maeda turned to see Takahashi and then returned her sight to Kashiwagi:
Maeda: It’s alright if you need more time, Yukiriso! I can wait; I’m in no hurry for your answer…
Kashiwagi: I know what I want to say, and what I feel for you Acchan…though it’s a bit hard for me to say, but I have to answer to you…
Takahashi: Acchan, it seems Yukirin made up her, just like when you confessed to her. Now you must listen to her words.
Maeda: …You’re right Minami-chan! Sorry Yukiriso….
Kashiwagi: …well, what I want to say is that…
She felt as if those words, didn’t want to come out, she thought she had confidence enough in herself to say them, but they didn’t come out. Never so few words were this hard to say for her. She knew this three words, would change her life. Afraid of losing that she grew to love but at the same time wanting express her true feelings, caused her clear mind to become fuzzy and unclear. Before she could even finish those words, a voice on the background yelled “Ok, everyone! Break is over!” At that moment Takahashi took both Kashiwagi and Maeda by their hands, and said “we can do this later” to which both gals knotted in an affirmative fashion. Kashiwagi felt bad that she couldn’t reply to Maeda the way she wanted. The three of them parted ways for the rehearsals.

When Kashiwagi rejoined with her team, she was anxiously received all its members. One of her duties as captain was to lead the team in their battle cry-cheer-but she couldn’t fully focus on her duties, and was absent minded during most of that practice. On the other side of the struggle Maeda, counting on Takahashi’s support decided that it was for the best to concentrate only on the practice for the remainder of the day. When the practice ended the actions took place again at the locker-dressing– room, where Watanabe decided that it was finally the time to confront Kashiwagi out her abnormal behavior. As she walked on the aisle fully immersed in her thought, Watanabe grabbed her should in order to draw her attention. The move worked and Kashiwagi turned her eyes to Watanabe, when their eyes met a slight smile broke among them. Suddenly Watanabe’s expression turned into a serious and the scolding and ranting began for the already anxious and downed Kashiwagi.
Watanabe: What’s the matter with you Yukirin? You’re not your regular self; you know you can tell me anything!?
Kashiwagi: ….nothing….I’m alright…
Watanabe insisted in her examination of Kashiwagi’s elusive answer. Sashihara and Maeda were passing by when they say the scene Watanabe was creating. Like if Kashiwagi had a Maeda-sensor integrated in her eyes, she immediately changed her focus from Watanabe to Maeda and Sashihara. Watanabe noticed this and quickly charged at Kashiwagi for ignoring her.
Watanabe: Stop ignoring Yukirin!? You really are acting different today!
Kashiwagi: No, I’m not; it’s just that you are…
Watanabe; I am what? Annoying…that’s what you want to say, right!?
Kashiwagi: No, of course not…it’s just that….I’m not feeling well today.
Watanabe: ……sorry if I’ve been too noisy and childish today…is there anything I can do to help?
Kashiwagi: Thanks…but no, this is something I have to take care by myself…
Less worried, Watanabe smiled again and headed to the locker room with a cheering disposition, think that the only thing she could do now was to cheer on her friend in this crossroad.

The finale is at the workshop....hope you stick with me! Next Closure 2nd Movement!

A stage of our own 4: Sensus & Affectus

It had begun…one of or the most difficult conversations the gals ever had, one that would change their lives forever. Kashiwagi was it a state of catatonic immobility for a moment after Maeda’s puzzling confession. Unlike before they aren’t strangers, but 2 really close friends, so Kashiwagi felt the need to come in aid of her friend, to whose feelings she was unaware. On the other hand, Maeda didn’t want to alienate Kashiwagi from her, after presenting her feelings for her. But she couldn’t keep them a secret any longer, if she didn’t express them to her, she thought she would explode. Also Maeda was aware that if she didn’t make the first move, Kashiwagi, wouldn’t notice the way Maeda felt towards her. Moments after her shock, Kashiwagi’s conscience returned to her body, releasing her from her catatonic immobility, and attempted to return to the conversion.

Kashiwagi: *cough*, so is she someone I know??
Maeda was struggling with this question, but she had to reply honestly, if not the whole point of the date would have been lost, and they would stay friends for ever, that was her line of thinking.
Maeda: ….Yes, you kind of know her………
Kashiwagi: is she in AKB??
Maeda:…..yes……
Kashiwagi: hmmm, well then have told her, that you like her?
Maeda:…… not yet…..
Kahiwagi: you should tell her, if not she probably won’t find out!!
Maeda: ….that’s what I’m trying to do….
Kashiwagi: what did you say, Acchan?
Kashiwagi was puzzled by Maeda’s last comment, and returned to her catatonic immobility, but felt a form of relief from that remark. Thinking it was now or never Maeda gathered all her courage, grabbed Kashiwagi’s hand, took a deep breath, face Kashiwagi while blushing and finally said it:
Maeda: Yukiriso, what I’m saying is that…
Kashiwagi: ……
Maeda: I’m saying that…I…I…LOVE YOU, YUKIRISO!!!!
Kashiwagi: eeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhh!?

Maeda, finally said, those words, she kept secret form long ago, and felt relieved, but now the ball was on Kashiwagi’s side of the pitch. Still in catatonic immobility, she felt like a bomb had been dropped onto her. Despite her lethargic state, she was well aware of what had happened, but still couldn’t believe it herself. The moon was already dominating the sky and the city lights lit up the horizon, Kashiwagi felt like running to the subway and return home immediately, but she couldn’t leave like that.

Maeda: I, said it already, that’s what I wanted to say…
Kashiwagi: ……you….love me?....I really don’t know what to say Acchan
Maeda: You have the right to get mad at me, for I’m a sick person, but I can’t stop these feelings I have for you…..
Kashiwagi, I’m not mad, Acchan, it’s just that I don’t know how to answer to you right now. I never expected this…
Maeda: I know, neither did I, but whatever you reply to me, please let’s still be friends!
Kashiwagi: at least that I can promise, then I think we should part ways for today, we have rehearsals for Wednesday’s concert!
Maeda: Sure, then I’ll see you tomorrow?
Kashiwagi: Yeah, I hope to be able to answer your feelings by tomorrow! See you then…
Maeda: Bye!

Both gals parted ways, and returned to their homes, with their fare share of unanswered questions, and their bit of answers. Just as Kashiwagi was on the train, she received a mail on her phone, it was from, the other person that was special for her. Maeda arrived quickly at home and bathe, feeling relived that she finally expressed her true sentiments for Kashiwagi, but still anxious about what her answer to those it would be. She ate her dinner and went to bed early, she wanted to arrive early to the practice, to not be surprised by Kashiwagi, as she turned off the lights and closed her eyes, she thought about her.

When Kashiwagi arrived home, she called, Saeki Mika, an old friend, whom she trusted blindly. She was the mysterious person, Kashiwagi told Maeda about, before Saeki’s injury and graduation, it was an open secret, that those two were really close. Even after her graduation, both gals keep close contact, and serve as confidants of each other.  Kashiwagi told Saeki about the card-the other person knowing about it was Love-tan-and also asked for advice. Saeki, mailed Kashiwagi to see how it went. Just as Kashiwagi arrived home, she went to her room and phoned Saeki, who was waiting to hear the details of Kashiwagi’s long day.

Saeki: Hello, Mika speaking
Kashiwagi: Mikachii, it’s me Yukirin!!!
Saeki: Yukirin, how did it go? Are you at ease now?... Tell me…
Kashiwagi: It was ok, but actually I came back with more questions than answers..
Saeki: So what did Maeda wanted to talk about, is she ok?
Kashiwagi: ………she’s ok, but I really don’t know how to say this…
Saeki: Say what?.....If you tell me then I might be able to help Yukirin…..
Kashiwagi: You’re right Mikachii…..
Saeki: So…..
Kashiwagi: Well  Acchan said she……well….
Saeki: Stop prolonging, just day it already!!
Kashiwagi: She said she loves me!!!
Saeki was also struck by Maeda’s confession, and understood Kashiwagi’s predicament as she had also been in her position before.
Saeki: So what did you answer?
Kashiwagi: Nothing, I just don’t know how to answer, Mikachii….
Saeki: Wasn’t it the same between us?
Kashiwagi: Yes, but you answered my feelings promptly and honestly, but I don’t think I can do that, with Acchan….
Saeki: Yukirin, just think about how you feel when you’re with her, then decide based on that…….or am I holding you back?
Kashiwagi: No, Mikachii, no way, you never hold me back!!!!
Saeki: Then, what you want to do?
Kashiwagi: I’m not sure….
Saeki: Think about it and when you find your answer call me back!!! Have a nice rest!
Kashiwagi: Bye Mikachii!!
Even thought they didn’t see each other very often, they’re still connected, so Saeki’s advice really touched deep into Kashiwagi’s conscience. She turned off the lights on her room and went to sleep, hoping that by dawn she would’ve reached her answer.

The next morning Kashiwagi, woke and headed to the shower, fixed her bag and make-up, dressed with her favorite grey sweatpants and a black t-shirt, she ate breakfast, left home to attend practice. Maeda had arrived before any other members, the only people she knew on site were AKB theater staffers, waiting for the idols to arrive. Minutes later, Takahashi Minami arrived, when she saw Maeda, both greeted each other. Takahashi told Maeda that she saw her at the store in front of the Shiomode station. Feeling compelled to tell her friend what happened that day, Maeda said to Takahashi “I need to talk to you in private!” and then took Takahashi with her into a more secluded place for them to talk.

Takahashi: What is it Acchan, you seem a little anxious today!?
Maeda: Yesterday when you saw at the store I was buying a gift for someone….
Takahashi: Really……..who??
Maeda: I….I…asked Yukirin to meet me at Odaiba, for the day, I wanted…to discuss something with her.
Takahashi: So the gift was for Yukirin?
Maeda: Yes....
Takahashi: How did it g?....
Maeda: It….was…ok
Takahashi: Just ok? There is something you want to tell me that is not coming out, Acchan?
Maeda: Well….Yes…I…
Takahashi: You, what?
Maeda: I confessed to Yukirin, I told her that I love her….
Takahashi: YOU WHAT!???
Maeda: Yes….I told Yukirin that I love her!

This time Takahashi fell victim to catatonic immobility because of shock! She never thought that Maeda liked gals. She quickly regained her self-control, and turned her eyes to meet Maeda’s. While filled with mixed emotions, the joy her friend found someone, and the thought that person separating them. She took a deep breath to gather herself together. She look Maeda into her eyes and with a smile she continue the conversation.

Takahashi: Well....I…what did she say?
Maeda: She did know what to say, so we parted ways…I’m so anxious, what should I do Minami-chan?
Takahashi: Why are you asking me something like that!?....Well I think you should talk to Yukirin, and wait for her to respond, don’t pressure her.
Maeda: Are you mad at me?
Takahashi: Why would I be mad at you Acchan?
Maeda: Because, I…like a girl and....
Takahashi: Don’t be silly, you have the right to love anyone who feel that way whole heartedly. I mean, nothing is going to change between, we’re always going to be best friends, I matters to me, more that you’re happy. We’re friends forever and best friends, right? So if there is anything I can do for, you know you just have to ask. I’m sure everything is going to work between you and Yukirin!
Maeda: Yes, it’s true, best friends forever!

Takahashi and Maeda returned to the entrance, when they reached the hall almost everyone had arrived, except Kashiwagi. The staff decided to let the members present to go the changing room. Inside the changing room, Love-tan approached Maeda and asked “Did you talk with Yukirin about what you wanted?” a nervous Maeda replied “Yes, we did!” to which Love-tan responded with a sigh of relief. Watanabe was starring at the window, impatiently waiting for Kashiwagi to arrive, just like a little girl waits for her elder siblings to arrive. All of sudden a brown cab stop in front of the stadium, the back door to the right opened, as soon as the door opened an AKB staffer and a cameraman approached the cab to escort its passenger. A young lady with a long black straight hair, thin body, light make-up and exercise wardrobe emerged from the vehicle, she greeted the staff and accompanied by them she approached the main door.

Watanabe ran to see who this person might be, when she open the door she saw it was Kashiwagi. Her immediate reaction was to run fast and launch herself onto the arriving Kashiwagi, but unlike their usual greetings, their eyes didn’t meet. Different from before, Kashiwagi wasn’t looking at Watanabe but at someone else. It took just one second for the euphoric Watanabe to transform into a jealous ranting kid, as if she had some another person with a toy and her mother didn’t buy it to her. Watanabe release Kashiwagi and stood in between Kashiwagi and the dressing room, her eyes reflected all her displeasure and anger.

Watanabe: What’s wrong with you today, Yukirin? Why are you avoiding me?
Kashiwagi: I’m not avoiding you Mayu!
Watanabe: Then what’s wrong with you? Yu-ki-rin!?!
Kashiwagi: Aren’t you a bit old for this? I’m absolutely fine!

Watanabe felt devastated by Kashiwagi’s harsh response to her questioning. This was the first time, since they met that Kashiwagi responded so violently to Watanabe’s rants and demands for attention. Maeda totally oblivious of the situation, held with a strong grip Takahashi’s hand, while trying to relax, when Watanabe ruptured through the door like if she was escaping from the gates of the underworld. Everybody knew something had happened between Kashiwagi and Watanabe, which displeased strongly to the later. Moments later a cool and collected, following the image of an aristocrat that the group had of her, Kashiwagi entered to the dressing room, as if nothing had happened in the stadium entrance. Her eyes were immediately looking for Maeda, when she found her, she immediately smiled then rushed to her, Maeda noticed instantaneously that Kashiwagi was wearing the pendant she gave her during their “date”.
