A Stage of our own: The Decision at Okinawa Part 3-b The Oshima Affair

Here is the next part of Part 3: The Oshima Affair! Enjoy, no long comment or rant today, well just a little one! This is my first attempt so it's entirely experimental, later you'll see a Editors Version. That means I'll rewrite this one in a more novelistic style. So yeah I'll turn A Stage of our Own in a sort of novel. If you liked this first fan fic and would like to help me as a proof reader, then feel free to contact me! Watanabe saw Maeda, Takahashi and Sashihara at the hall entrance and waved to them to come to the table, the latter three went to pick something for breakfast and took seats in the table. Kashiwagi’s uncomfortable position with Oshima at her left and Maeda at her right was quickly picked up by several of the members in that table. Kashiwagi ate fast making it easier to notice her unpleasantness, physical symptoms also appeared, her skin looked drier and pale, her smile seemed to be unnatural and her eyes never met those of the people around. Unable to see Kashiwagi so uncomfortable Katayama decided to get her out of that position. As soon as she finished Katayama gave a signal the two all friends used to get out of uncomfortable situations and talk to each other, on a nearby table Oota also noticed Katayama’s gesture, hinting her that something was wrong with Kashiwagi at whom the gesture was directed. Oota decided to stay put and not trigger an alarm specially on the former members of team B who knew the “code”, Watanabe was so deep into her breakfast she felt to notice Katayama’s signal. Sashihara, decided to help and quickly teamed up with Katayama to get Kashiwagi out of that dangerous spot, without the other members noticing the distress signal. Sashihara tapped Kashiwagi’s shoulder and she headed away escorted by Katayama as Sashihara stayed to avoid any more suspicion. In a separate hall Katayama talked to Kashiwagi about her situation, just to be surprised by the story she heard.

Katayama: [holds Kashiwagi’s shoulder] [wonders] Are you alright, Yukirin? Why are you so tense this morning?.

Kashiwagi: [breathing heavy] Haachan!..I just can’t take this…

Katayama: [surprised] [padding Kashiwagi to calm her] Take what Yukirin, what happened that you’re like this?

Kashiwagi: [holds Katayama’s hands] [takes a deep breath] What I’m going to tell you must be kept a secret Haachan, ok?

Katayama: [nods] Sure, you can count on me!

They left to a more comfortable place to talk. They walked several meters until they reached the business lounge, which had greenery in every corner, comfy sofa’s and a nice view of the sea shore next to the hotel. The whole room was filled with the smell of lavender incense that was being burned in every table. They searched for a comfortable seat with a nice view of the ocean front. The fresh sea breeze and the murmur of the waves as they beached, relaxed Kashiwagi to the extent she had recovered her normal appearance. The usual energy and radiance that accompanied Kashiwagi on her normal days was back, her cheerful and playful was again in control of her expression and her body, seeing the usual Kashiwagi, Katayama decide make the ask.

Katayama: [smiles as she stares closely] Now, Yukirin, can you tell me what made you so desperate earlier?

Kashiwagi: [looks around] This is a secret between us right?! Though it’s not much of a secret…[looks around again then returns to Katayama]

Katayama: [wondering, curious face] Who else knows about “this” Yukirin?

Kashiwagi: Well, Sasshi and Takamina…Only them.

Katayama: [moves next to Kashiwagi] So…

Kashiwagi: [giggles with excitement] A week ago, Acchan asked me out. She wanted to talk about something.

Katayama: Yes, Lovetan told me about that; What did she wanted to talk about?

Kashiwagi: [nods x2] Well, she told me…that she’s in love with me…and last night, we were at the hotel’s onsen and we kissed.

Katayama: [surprised expression, eyes opened bigger] You & Acchan…kissed and declared love, oh I see…You WHAT!?

Kashiwagi: Yes…I kissed with Acchan and told her I also love her…Sorry Haachan, I wanted to tell you earlier but things went a bit out our control. I told Sasshi and Acchan told Takamina, before we came here. So they knew before I even said something about my feelings to Acchan.

Katayama was filled with mixed emotions, she was happy because her best friend had found that special person but was also surprised because of who that person was. She would have never expected that Kashiwagi and Maeda could have romantic feelings one for the other. Kashiwagi abruptly stood up and headed to the balcony, closed her eyes whilst the marine breeze caressed her face and the murmur of the seas whispered story of ancient times. Katayama followed suit staying just a couple of steps behind. She thought that their close friendship prepared her to understand Kashiwagi better than anyone else, but she was wrong. She had too many coincidences and direct relationships with Maeda such as year of birth, month and blood type, Katayama then understood that Maeda’s and Kashiwagi’s mutual affection was predestined, it was indeed a conspiracy of the heavens-according to her at least-and as her close friend she felt that she had to bless this rather unexpected twist. Kashiwagi slowly turned to look at Katayama and continues her recollection of what happened.

Kashiwagi: [looks up to the sky] [smiles] You know Haachan, it made me happy to know that someone wanted me that badly as Acchan…At first I couldn’t say to her what my feelings truly were, but she didn’t stop there. Every time we talk and her love for me came up, she gradually increased her conviction to the point that she told me she didn’t want or could be my friend…

Katayama: [sighs] Really? That far, she surely had her mind made up.

Kashiwagi: [sighs] [smiles lightly] Yes, and that made me think, that I do also love her and want her more than what I should…She found that I was at the onsen area, and went there to see me…It just kind of happened, I said I love her too and we started kissing…honestly Haachan, it felt really good.

Katayama: Did you fight later that night? I wonder because, Yukirin…you look so radiant when you speak about Acchan, that it doesn’t makes sense that you avoided her this morning. You also seemed a bit antsy with Oshima…

Kashiwagi: [sighs and nods] Well, she found us kissing and…well she just separated us and hugged me so tight. I was really confused. She said some mean things to Acchan and when Acchan left, she asked me to stay a little longer with her at the onsen. Yuko was holding me all the time and it she didn’t want to let me go.

Katayama: … [Sighs]

Kashiwagi: The night was really beautiful though; Yuko seemed very mad at Acchan, so when she left Yuko seemed more relaxed. We stayed in there for a while, and before Yuko left, she told me…she told me that she wants to go out with me and that she likes me more than a friend would!

Katayama: [Shivers] [eyes wide open] First Acchan, now Oshima?! Yukirin you’re going to make almost every member fall in love with you?

Kashiwagi: [Innocent look] … [Puppy eyes]

Katayama: [Sighs] Now you have to tell Oshima, that you’re already seeing Acchan. You have to be clear with her.

Kashiwagi: But, if I tell Yuko that I’m already with Acchan I’ll lose Yuko’s friendship but if I break up with Acchan to be with Yuko, I’ll lose Acchan. I don’t like any of those scenarios.

The situation was even more complicated in Kashiwagi’s than in Katayama’s. “No matter what I choose, I’ll always lose something at the end” was Kashiwagi’s position but there was no other out, a decision was unavoidable. Katayama held Kashiwagi by her shoulders trying to encourage her. The ladies didn’t notice the time that had passed since they started talking. Since Kashiwagi and Katayama weren’t on their rooms and it was almost time to go to the rehearsal location, Togasaki decided to send someone look her. To complete the task two gals volunteered to search for them in the hotel: Takajo Aki and Watanabe Mayu. They split to search the hotel faster and find Katayama and Kashiwagi. The latter duo was unaware of the search party as they lost the track of time while talking. When Katayama realizes they have been out there for almost an hour they decide to head back to their rooms and get ready to go to rehearsals, after all something had to be done and avoiding Maeda and Oshima all day long was impossible, since Kashiwagi was shooting a joint photo book with them. As they left the hall they met with Takajo who had been looking for them.

Takajo: [agitated with heavy breathing] Yukirin…Haachan…I’ve been searching for you all over the place!

Kashiwagi: [surprised] [giggles] Why, what happened?

Katayama: You really came running, Akicha? We’re just heading back to our rooms!

Takajo: [intense stare first Katayama then Kashiwagi then nods] Ah, you idiots! Togasaki went to check the rooms, and found both of you missing, he asked your roommates; Acchan didn’t know where Yukirin was and started to worry, she seemed anxious and nervous, and Nakayan didn’t know about you Haachan. Fortunately Lovetan saw both of you leave the breakfast hall and told me to check here. Now both have to come with me and apologize to Togasaki-san and your roommates for making them worry! [takes a deep breath, and drags Kashiwagi and Katayama out]

Katayama and Kashiwagi couldn’t stop laughing all the way until -dragged all the way by Takajo-they reached the assembly point were Maeda, Watanabe, Nakagawa and Togasaki were waiting. After a brief scolding on them, the ladies returned to their rooms, got ready with their rehearsal bags and other needs they might have on this first day of the trip. Maeda tried to leave the room quickly but Kashiwagi held her hand and winked at Maeda.

Kashiwagi: [smiles and winks] Let’s have fun, Acchan!

Maeda: [smiles and hugs] Yukiriso…yes, let’s have lots of fun!

They held hands tightly and went out the room and headed to the bust the rendezvous point in which they would meet with the staff and press forward towards the training hall; Nothing in the world could disturb the happiness that Maeda was feeling as she walked holding hands with Kashiwagi until they arrived at the agreed location and Maeda’s first site was no other than Oshima herself. Quickly after arrived Takahashi and Sashihara, Shinoda and Kojima, Itano and Watanabe, etc…

Togasaki was the first staffer to arrive at the scene which seems to be unusually calm. He quickly noticed Kashiwagi and Maeda, it was impossible to notice how close those two had become in the last few weeks, and the apparent animosity between her and Oshima. Just by looking how the gals were gathering he noticed that the atmosphere was the heaviest amongst those three, but finding out would have to wait after the day’s activities are finished. After everyone gathered they walked for about 3 minutes until they reached a hall within the compounds of the hotel. A tall building with a glass frontal face, welcomed the ladies for their practice, as they got in they noticed that all the shooting locations were around this venue. They started with their regular concert practice, after noon they parted to their individual activities. Several members were shooting pb’s and others were preparing other concert material, amongst those staying in the hall was Takahashi whom was called by Togasaki to talk for a moment.

Togasaki: Takahashi, got a moment?

Takahashi: Yes, what can I help Togasaki-san with?

Togasaki: I’ve noticed some tension between Maeda, Kashiwagi and Oshima; do you know anything about it?

Takahashi: [murmur] Couldn’t they be more obvious…?

Togasaki: So…

Takahashi: [light smile] No, Acchan has been her usual with me, no mention what-so-ever about conflicts with anyone, especially Yuko…

Togasaki: hmmm…I thought she might have talked to you, but well I guess it’s just my imagination.

Takahashi: Anyways, I’ll try and talk to her.

Takahashi had dodged a potentially dangerous situation. She could only hope that Maeda and Oshima resolved their quarrel soon; Kashiwagi wanted to terminate this stand-off as soon as possible, but was too scared of the consequences that whatever she decided would bear. Takahashi was also worried because the three of them were scheduled to shoot their joint PB and the next day Oshima and Kashiwagi’s later followed by Maeda’s and Kashiwagi’s. Takahashi felt she couldn’t stay still; Maeda’s desires and feelings were on the line. Something had to be done, so she called Sashihara who brought Katayama with her to discuss their next move to consolidate the Maeda-Kashiwagi pair.

After a heated debate the three ladies finally reached an agreement and set course towards the location where the shooting was taking place. When they arrived the shooting was on a recess for Kashiwagi suddenly was feeling a bit uneasy after just 12 shots. Katayama and the others couldn’t bear this sensation of instability on their friends. They decided to go and talk to them in an attempt to solve this problem. Of course Oshima had good intensions and her feelings towards Kashiwagi were really strong, but she took too long to express them. Kashiwagi had already taken the decision to be with Maeda, she had crossed the point of no return; Oshima was a force to be reckoned with not only because her earnest attitude but sincere way of being, Kashiwagi didn’t want to lose such a friend, but she couldn’t ignore her feelings. How could she be happy with Maeda as she wanted knowing that Oshima was also in love with her? No answer satisfied Kashiwagi’s heart. While she was starring at the shore Oshima approached here before Katayama and company could; they decided to wait and see the result of this conversation.

Oshima: Yukirin, may I sit with you?

Kashiwagi: [smiles nervously] Sure.

Oshima: [serious expression] I’m sorry Yukirin; I’ve put you in a bad position. I know so, but I just can’t help myself quiet and do nothing when I feel I’m losing you…

Kashiwagi: [turns to see Oshima and smiles] You don’t have to apologize, Yuko. I think I would’ve done the same thing if I was in your position. The truth is that I like you a lot, you’re a very special friend, but I’m in love with someone else Yuko. It breaks me to have to pick one of you…

Oshima: [sad smile] Acchan?

Kashiwagi: [looks at the sand] Yes…I do love her, but in a different way that I love my friends like you or Mayuyu or my parents. I don’t know how to explain it words…I…

Oshima: [sighs] I somehow knew…

Kashiwagi: [looks at Oshima and smiles] Yuko, I want to be your friend, I really want to be! I can’t be happy with Acchan, if you resent us or jus Acchan; Acchan was very brave to tell me her feelings while I’ve been a coward trying to hide them even though I know them clearly…I cannot chose to love Acchan and be hated by you [sobs]

Oshima: [hugs Kashiwagi and pads her] I could never hate you Yukirin…I want you to be happy…It would’ve been better if you could be happy with me…but…

Kashiwagi: Yuko…I…

Oshima: [releases Kashiwagi and walks in front of her facing the shore] Don’t say a word Yukirin…I know I not fit to be your lover, but I can’t help myself feeling this for you; I don’t want to hurt you Yukirin but at the same time I can’t but feel miserable. I’m not good enough for you, I’ve always known that but I fooled myself into believing that I could get there and be with you…I’m sorry for being so selfish and self-centered..Yukirin if you forgive me, may I stay by your side? Just as your friend is good enough for me… [bows and sheds tears]

Kashiwagi: [runs towards Oshima and hugs her while smiling] Please, Yuko…be my friend!

Both gals held each other in a tight and warm embrace, as they turned, they noticed Katayama, Takahashi and Sashihara behind them applauding the two brave ladies with huge smiles. Kashiwagi and Oshima then blushed out of embarrassment and smiled, they were back to their usual self’s. As a testament Oshima smiled and then touched and lightly squeezed Kashiwagi’s breasts as she usually did to prank the latter.

Unknown to them the art director was passing by while Oshima and Kashiwagi were talking and snapped several pictures of them while they conversed. Before they resumed to PB shooting with Maeda who was with the staff, the ladies talked for a while about what had happened and what course to take next. Oshima in a twist and a demonstration of selfless love promised Kashiwagi that she would do anything she could to help her consolidate her love with Maeda, even though it was with mixed feelings; Oshima wanted Kashiwagi to be happy.

Moments later the shooting resumed and the tense discomfort was gone. Maeda saw a more relaxed Kashiwagi and a very friendly and fired Oshima; she wondered what could have happened in the break. When Togasaki arrived to check on them, he saw them shining brighter than before and he felt reassured about them. They day ended without incidents and gladly for Kashiwagi her issue with Oshima solved. When they reached the hotel the gals each headed back to their rooms, when Maeda and Kashiwagi arrived to their room, Maeda closed the door and gave lead to her jealousy for what happened with Oshima. She cornered Kashiwagi-next to her bed-with a serious gaze.

Maeda: Yukiriso…What happened between you and Yuko today?

Kashiwagi: [giggles] Nothing, we just talked and fixed some pending issues between us.

Maeda: [stares at Kashiwagi] Yukiriso…I’m not going to let her separate us!

Kashiwagi: [laughs] She’s not going to Acchan, I’ve told her that I love you, and she understands…

Maeda: [sighs]

Kashiwagi: So don’t worry ok?!

Both of them knew there was still a long way to go before they could really be together as a couple. But for that night Kashiwagi couldn’t care about the last obstacle they were about to face. Not thinking about anything else other than her feelings towards Maeda, Kashiwagi leaned towards Maeda and turned to be in front of her, closed her eyes and hug Maeda. When she closed her eyes Kashiwagi gently massaged her shoulder, moving down her torso towards her breasts. Kashiwagi followed the soft curve of Maeda’s breasts from the border of her torso to the center of the chest passing through her nipples then slightly pressing them with a circular massage, with each passing Maeda’s face became redder and redder, she couldn’t avoid feeling a pleasurable sensation to Kashiwagi’s amusement. Kashiwagi turned the room lights off leaving just a small lamp on. She then pushed Maeda into the bed and started to move her hands from the soles of her feet up her legs, reaching her thighs, waist then her chest and her neck. Then she placed her lips in Maeda’s mouth and smoothly massage Maeda’s lips with her tongue whilst opening her mouth, then closing them on her mouth, she repeated this with Maeda’s lower and upper lips, then introduced her tongue on Maeda’s mouth and started to gently rub every corner of it, when their tongues touched each other they started mingling slowly and gently, when Kashiwagi removed from tongue and lips form Maeda’s she was so tired that she fell asleep, with an expression full of joy. Maeda fell asleep while starring at Kashiwagi’s face. That night they both slept in Maeda’s bed, thank fully they weren’t chosen to be awaken by the crew the next morning.
